Huge congrats! Eight months of nights and weekends takes real grit. What's it called? I'd love to try it.

Ingredients

1½ cups all-purpose flour 1¼ cups whole milk 2 tbsp sugar 2 tsp baking powder 1 large egg 3 tbsp butter, melted

All with the subscriptions you already pay for.

Native to the Mac

SwiftUI and AppKit, no Electron and no web view. It lives in the menu bar with no Dock icon, in Liquid Glass on macOS 26.

No Popout servers

Your text goes from your Mac to your agent and nowhere else. It never passes through us.

Keyboard first

Tab switches Edit and Ask, / picks a saved prompt, Return runs, Escape cancels and ⌘Z undoes an edit. No mouse needed.

Your model, your effort

Pick any model your agent reports and how hard it thinks. It starts on low effort where the model allows.

Answers you can check

Ask can search the web and read the pages it finds, then answers in Markdown with its sources linked.

Out of your way

Answers land in the corner you pick without taking focus from your app, and fade once you have had time to read them.

Wherever your pointer is

The bubble opens at the pointer on any display, in any Space, even over a full-screen app.

No account, no API key

Popout uses the agent you are already signed in to. There is nothing new to sign up for.

Why not vibe code it yourself?

You could. Popout took nearly 2 billion tokens of agent work, about $1,600 at API prices, and most of the thought went into the small UX details: where the result lands, when a write is safe, how it stays out of your way. I use it every day, so it keeps getting care and fixes.

FAQ

Which apps does it work with?

Popout works across your Mac apps, on whatever text is selected. It never reads the clipboard, so nothing needs to be copied first.

Do I need an API key or a new subscription?

No. Popout runs on the coding agent you already pay for. There is no Popout account and no Popout servers in between.

Which agents does it support?

Popout works with your agents: Codex, Claude, Cursor, Grok Build and Antigravity. It works with any one you are already signed into.

What does Popout read and send?

Only the text you select, sent to the agent you chose. No clipboard, no analytics, and password fields and password managers are excluded.

What do I need to run it?

macOS 14 or later, Apple Silicon, and one signed-in coding agent.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. DM @yenargy on X with the email you bought with and you will get your money back.
