Privacy Policy

Popout is a macOS app sold at usepopout.app. This policy covers the app, this website and buying a license. The short version: Popout has no servers, and your text never passes through us.

The app

• When you run Popout, the text you selected and the instruction you gave are sent to the coding agent you chose (such as Codex, Claude, Cursor, Grok Build or Antigravity), running on your Mac under your own account. That provider's privacy policy covers what it receives. We never see it.
• Popout never reads your clipboard. Password fields and password managers are excluded.
• The app has no analytics, telemetry or crash reporting.
• History is stored only on your Mac, for 30 days by default. You can change how long, or turn it off, in Settings.
• To activate your license, the app sends your license key and your Mac's name to Dodo Payments. About once a week it checks the key again with the key and its activation ID. Nothing else is sent.

This website

• The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard request data such as your IP address and browser to serve and protect the site.
• We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies and does not track you across other sites.

Purchases

Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record for Popout. It collects your name, email, billing address and payment details, handles tax and sends your receipt and license key. Card details never reach us. We receive your order details (name, email, country and what you bought) so we can support your license and handle refunds. See Dodo Payments' privacy policy.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell or share your data for advertising. We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
